Asian Consortium 2015

Organized by Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation Hong Kong
September 27-28, 2015

As the flagship event of the annual Social Innovation Festival in Hong Kong, the Asian Consortium is an event that brings together professionals from various fields and countries that share a passion for solving and discussing social issues. Over 120 participants and speakers from more than 16 countries came together to talk, demonstrate, and create under the topics of well-being, sustainable cities, social economy, and resilient communities. Birdie Salva of Curiosity shared the company’s design research findings on disaster resiliency and building back better after the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan, and exhibited the results of a placemaking project entitled “Retro Manila”, which mapped out people’s most memorable places in Metro Manila and identified what memories they associate these places with.
