Spark Fest 2017 is a conference and festival for creative entrepreneurs, changemakers and do-ers in the Philippines.  Curiosity co-founder, Birdie Salva, gave a talk on design research’s role in branding and service creation. He also unveiled Curiosity’s new brand identity, which was designed by his co-speaker Dan Matutina of Plus63 Design.




 

Workshop: Fundamentals of Conducting Research for Your Start-up

For its 2017 cohort, IdeaSpace conducted a five-day bootcamp for its 20 startup finalists to teach them lessons and skills that are vital to getting their ventures off the ground. Curiosity co-founders Pamela Cajilig and Birdie Salva spent a day with more than 50 driven and passionate technologists, scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs to share with them the fundamentals of conducting user research.




 

OCEAN Summit: The Future of Industry and Impact

Asian Consortium 2015

At the Asian Consortium, the flagship event of the annual Social Innovation Festival in Hong Kong, Birdie Salva of Curiosity shared the company’s design research findings on disaster resiliency and building back better after the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan, and exhibited the results of a placemaking project entitled “Retro Manila”, which mapped out people’s most memorable places in Metro Manila and identified what memories they associate these places with.




 

Future Innovators Summit

The Future Innovators Summit is a creative system that gathers inspiring artists, technologists, social activists and young entrepreneurs from all over the world for one week to explore future scenarios involving the world’s most pressing concerns. Pamela Cajilig represented Curiosity at the 2015 Summit and discussed our work in humanitarian shelter in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda, as well as brainstormed post-city scenarios with a team artists, seismologists, and business innovators. GOOGLE DEVELOPER GROUP (GDG): WOMEN TECHMAKERS MANILA

Pamela Cajilig spoke at Google’s Women Techmakers: Manila, in which technical, non-technical and business topics were discussed by 100% women speakers. Pamela spoke about her experiences as a woman entrepreneur, and also talked about Curiosity’s work in design thinking for gender-responsive humanitarian shelter.
